There are many ways to choose a career path. The most important thing to remember is to find something that you enjoy and are good at. Following are some ways you can explore careers.
Career Interest Inventories Ask your high school counselor about taking a career interest inventory. These inventories help you match your skills and interests with careers.
Career Days & Career Fairs Arizona Western College and area high schools host several career days and career fairs during the year. Talk to your counselors and teachers about participating in these events. Make sure you make the most of your day by talking to guest speakers and presenters about their careers and asking questions.
Summer Academies Tech Prep and Arizona Western College host career academies to help students explore career. Registration usually begins in April for the academies. Summer Academy 2007 courses will be listed in the spring of 2007.

Getting Started: Step 1: Pick a Career Path. Step 2: Find out what high school classes are offered for your career path. Step 3: Complete the high school portion of your career program. Step 4: Start earning college credit while you are still in high school. Step 5: Finish what you started in high school by attending Arizona Western College.
